Packing your bag ready for the pool or beach can be one of those tasks thats really simple but so easy to forget some of the essential’s. I always fall into the overpacking territory bringing way too much with me and forgetting important things like sunscreen. Here’s a few simple tips to help you along with packing your bag that’ll have all the essentials while you take up residence poolside.

Pick a Large bag:
I tend to go for tote bags or really roomy beach bags. Mine is from a shop called Alphabet Bags who have an awesome array of super cute bags and designs that are minimal and chic at the same time. Nylon and Canvas bags are ideal for a beach bag.

Take a Sarong
I don’t know why sarongs always remind me of my mum and not necessarily something that I’d wear myself. However the oversized fabric can be doubled up as a scarf, pillow or a shoulder cover up if you burn yourself. They dry quickly if they get wet and can be lay on if you can find a sun lounger! A great all round beach bag must have!

Be Prepared
Take a few snacks with you such as cereal bars or fruit as well as lots of water to keep you hydrated in the beating sun. Also bring a few euros (or insert your holiday currency here) to pay for extras such as ice cream, renting a pool bed or a cheeky cocktail!

Waterproof Bag

I was sent a super cool little pouch from H&M which is basically like a waterproof bikini case. Perfect for when you want to change back into your clothes but don’t want to get them all wet from a soggy bikini. Pop your dry underwear in there until it comes to changing and switch them around.
