All thing's bright and beautiful! Made In Chelsea's Binky Felstead gives her top tips on bold summer make-up

Ooh, decisions decisions. Summer style throws up a whole bunch of new questions: Bikini or one-piece; flip-flops or espadrilles; minidress or maxi dress; fake tan or suntan...

But the one summer standby that always looks amazing is bold, bright make-up. Once my base tan is in place, I start to get really excited about experimenting with a whole rainbow of hues.
Zingy neon greens and bubblegum pinks are the sort of colourful make-up shades that I wouldn't dare wear with pale winter skin, but they look sizzling hot in the sunshine!

So throw caution to the wind and let's get painting - and don't worry, you won't end up with barmy clown make-up or a face covered in piles of heavy slap.

This is a light, sunshine-friendly finish that feels as gorgeous as it looks.

Get The Look…

Step 1: Bright Eyes

Begin by evening out the skin tone on your lids using Stila's Prime Pot in Taffy. This eye primer works as a base for your eyeshadow, fixing all your make-up in place. Just smooth on an even coat with your fingers to disguise any shadows or discolouration.
Now, using the green shade from the bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow Palette, blend colour across the whole eye socket, taking it up to the socket line, down into each corner and even just under the tear duct. I'm using bright green to match my green eyes, but any bold shade will look equally good.

Step 2: Luxe Lashes

Brush Clarins Wonder Length Mascara in Wonder Black onto top and bottom lashes, ensuring that you apply it to the upper side of your top lashes to cover any eyeshadow that may have fallen there. This Clarins mascara is great for lengthening your lashes, plus its super-slim brush makes it perfect for brushing your lower lashes and getting colour right into the tight corners.

Step 3: Go Bronze

Everyone knows how much Binky loves her bronzer! This week I'm using Guerlain Terra Nerolia Bronzer, which is a really classic make-up product, giving your skin gorgeous colour and glow. Blend it under the cheekbones and onto the temples, working the brush in circular motions, and add a little bit onto your nose.

Step 4: Beautiful Blusher

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

Bourjois Maxi Delight Bronzer

L’Oreal True Match Blusher in True Rose

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Sweet Tart
Next take a thick brush and apply bareMinerals Ready Blush in the Natural High to the apples of the cheeks. Blusher gives a wonderful natural flush to the skin, leaving you with a wash of sexy summer colour.

Step 5: Kissable Lips

Add Vaseline to the lips before applying a pop of bright colour with bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Fly-High Lipstick.
And there you have it - a brilliantly bright make-up look. So whether you're doing summer in the city or hitting the beach, be bold, be brave, be beautiful and go crazy for colour.
