But Emily Mortimer is showing off her more glamorous side in a new magazine shoot.
The 41-year-old British actress sports a series of stunning dresses in Beach magazine, posing in East Hampton, where she lives with her husband and two young children
She looks all the more striking while
strolling down the beach in a black and white feather print maxi dress
as she discusses how much she enjoys living on both the East and West
coasts of America in Los Angeles and Amagansett.
'I love the feeling at the end of the day here, having been outside with the sea and the air. It's how you imagine the air in heaven would be,' she tells the magazine. 'I have an outdoor shower and a glass of wine and fall into bed and feel so thoroughly delighted with life.'
The actress, who married American
actor Alessandro Nivola in 2003, says she is enjoying the challenge of
juggling her job and family. 'I love the feeling at the end of the day here, having been outside with the sea and the air. It's how you imagine the air in heaven would be,' she tells the magazine. 'I have an outdoor shower and a glass of wine and fall into bed and feel so thoroughly delighted with life.'
'I've never had a proper job like this before, going in to work every day and being "on" and having to sustain this commitment and responsibility.
'Up to now, I've just done movies, which is kind of infantilising – you get woken up, driven to the set to work once or twice a week. Now I'm grown up, I'm a ball-breaking person who can hold down a job and raise a family.'
The new series of The Newsroom began in the U.S. on July 14.
